Compatible HP ProLiant Servers

This drive bracket fits a wide range of HP ProLiant Gen8 and G9 servers, including DL160, DL320e, DL360e, DL360p, DL380e, DL380p, DL385p, DL560, DL120, DL350, ML310e, ML350e and ML350p models. It also supports BL420c, BL460c, BL465c, BL660c, SL230s, SL250s and WS460c blade and scale-out systems. The tray accepts 2.5 inch drives for direct hot-plug installation. Buyers using servers outside these listed families will need a different caddy.

Replacing Worn or Missing Caddies

The bracket replaces damaged, lost or bent original trays that prevent a drive from seating correctly in the hot-plug backplane. Upgrading makes sense when the existing caddy latch is broken, the guide rails are deformed or the screw threads are stripped. It is not for converting 3.5 inch bays or adapting non-hot-plug chassis. Servers that require a different part number or form factor cannot use this tray.

Tool-Less Installation with Included Screws

Each pack contains two trays and eight mounting screws matched to the drive mounting holes. Align the drive, secure the screws and slide the assembly into the bay until the latch clicks. The most common issue is over-tightening the screws, which can strip the drive threads or warp the tray. Ensure the latch engages fully; a partial seat will cause the server to report a missing drive.
