What this docking station does
The Vszerda EXP GDC M.2 A Key Docking Station connects a desktop PCIe graphics card or other PCIe device to a laptop through its M.2 A Key slot. It targets users who need GPU acceleration for gaming, engineering measurement, data acquisition, server debugging or GPU computing on a portable machine. It is not for buyers whose laptops lack an M.2 A Key interface or who need a self-powered solution.
The interface that decides compatibility
This unit uses a 26pin NGFF M.2 A Key data cable to link the laptop to the adapter board. The cable supports Type 54 and Type 34 ExpressCard interfaces through the same connector. If your system does not expose an M.2 A Key slot wired for PCIe signalling, the dock will not function.
Behaviour under sustained load
Power delivery relies on an external ATX supply connected via an 8pin cable that can be split to a 6pin connector for the graphics card. A dual TD compatible switch and multi-stage anti-interference circuit handle hardware conflicts and signal integrity during extended GPU computing or gaming sessions. Multi-power automatic switching manages the transition between power sources without manual intervention.

Questions about this item
How much bandwidth does the M.2 A Key connection give the graphics card?
The adapter uses a 26-pin M.2 A Key cable that carries a single PCIe lane, so the external GPU runs at x1 speed.
What express card form factors does the 26-pin cable support?
The enhanced MINI PCI-E data cable uses a 26pin interface and supports Type 54 and Type 34 Express card interfaces.
What power connectors must the laptop and graphics card provide?
The dock needs an 8-pin ATX cable for its own power and a 6-pin PCIe cable for the graphics card; the 8-pin lead can be split to 6-pin if required.
