Vszerda JD2912 80A Wide-Foot Automotive Relay 12VDC Normally Open

SKU CH-B0ET-99V5B

12 VDC normally-open relay with wide-foot copper contacts rated for 80 A switching

  • Handles 80 A continuous current for heavy-duty circuits
  • Wide-foot copper contacts reduce resistance and heat build-up
  • 12 VDC coil voltage matches standard automotive systems
  • Normally-open configuration simplifies power-on switching logic

80A Wide-Foot Automotive Relay

The Vszerda JD2912 is a 12VDC normally open relay rated for 80 amps. Its wide-foot copper contacts suit high-current automotive circuits such as lighting, fans or winch controls. Installers needing a single-pole switch for 12 V systems will find the pin layout matches standard JD2912 footprints.

Thermals noise and power draw

The coil draws only the current required to hold the 12 V contact closed, so steady-state dissipation stays low. No internal fan or active cooling is present, leaving operation silent. Copper wide-foot terminals reduce resistance, limiting heat rise during continuous 80 A loads.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Vszerda JD2912 relay and what wiring mistake should I avoid?

Match the wide-foot pin layout to your socket, verify the coil is rated for 12 VDC, and do not reverse the control and load terminals or the contacts will not switch.

What maintenance or replacement should I plan for with this 80 A normally-open relay?

Expect the copper contacts to wear after repeated high-current switching; replace the unit when voltage drop across the contacts rises or the coil fails to pull in reliably.
