M-Key NVMe to PCIe 3.0 Adapter
This Vszerda adapter converts an M-Key M.2 NVMe SSD to a PCI Express 3.0 x4, x8 or x16 slot. It supports 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 form factors without changing drive speed or properties. The card is intended for desktop builders adding NVMe storage to a motherboard with a compatible PCIe slot.
Driver-Free Operation and OS Visibility
The adapter is transparent to the operating system and requires no software drivers. Windows 10 or later will detect the SSD once the OS loads. Ordinary systems cannot see the drive in BIOS, so booting from the SSD is only possible if the motherboard BIOS specifically supports PCIe device booting.
Slot Compatibility and Chipset Limits
Installation requires a motherboard with a Z97 or later chipset and a free PCIe x4, x8 or x16 slot. AMD chipset motherboards are not recommended. Chipsets below the 9 series cannot use PCIe x4 drives such as the PM951, SM951 or PM950. Buyers without a compatible Intel platform or PCIe boot support cannot use this adapter.

Questions about this item
Does the adapter board itself require any firmware updates or driver maintenance over time?
The adapter is transparent to the operating system and does not require any software drivers, so no firmware or driver maintenance is needed for the board itself.
What limits the maximum throughput when the SSD runs at full speed for long periods?
The adapter uses a PCI-E 3.0 x4 electrical interface, so sustained throughput is capped by the PCI-E 3.0 x4 lane bandwidth.
Does the adapter generate noticeable heat or need extra cooling when used continuously?
The adapter is a passive riser card with no active components, so it produces minimal heat and does not require additional cooling during all-day operation.
