Compatible Laptop Models
This adapter is built exclusively for the 2022 and 2023 ThinkBook 16 Plus laptops equipped with the AMD 8845 processor. It does not function with the 14-inch variant or any other notebook model. The 67-pin M.2 Key M male connector plugs directly into the internal slot. No drivers are required for operation.
Internal Slot Conversion
The board converts the laptop's internal M.2 Key M interface into a single OCuLink SFF-8612 female port. This allows the connection of one external device such as a graphics card or SSD using a separate cable and power source. The adapter passes PCIe 4.0 x4 signals through the NVMe protocol without altering speed or properties.
Sustained Transfer Behaviour
Data moves at up to 32 Gbps across the link while maintaining the NVMe 1.2 specification. The transparent design adds no software overhead during extended workloads. Performance remains consistent with the host system's PCIe 4.0 x4 electrical limits for the duration of the transfer.
