Purpose-built mining riser
This PCIe x1 to 4-slot x16 riser card connects up to four graphics cards to a single PCIe x1 lane using a 60 cm USB 3.0 cable. It is designed for bitcoin mining rigs that need to maximise GPU density in 1U, 2U or 3U chassis.
Thermals, noise and power
The board uses a two-layer PCB with solid capacitors to stabilise power delivery to each slot. No active cooling is included, so airflow in the chassis must handle the heat from four graphics cards. Power can be fed through 6-pin, large 4-pin or SATA connectors.
Bundled cables and OS limits
Four SATA power cables are supplied with the riser. Windows 10 recognises up to eight GPUs, Windows 7 up to six, and both require modified drivers; Linux supports eight or more cards without that restriction. Builders needing more than eight GPUs on Windows cannot use this configuration.

Questions about this item
How do I install the 1x to 16x riser card and what step is often missed?
Insert the x1 edge connector into the motherboard, connect the 60 cm USB 3.0 cables to the four x16 slots, then attach SATA power to the onboard header; the step often missed is powering each riser before the GPUs.
What maintenance or replacement will the riser card need later?
The solid capacitors on the PCB are rated for long life, but the 60 cm USB 3.0 shielded cables can fatigue from repeated bending; replace cables if signal errors appear.
What limit appears first when running four GPUs continuously on Windows 10?
Windows 10 recognises a maximum of eight graphics cards per motherboard, so the OS device limit is reached before the four-slot riser itself saturates.
