PCIe SATA 3.0 expansion card

This PCIe x1 card adds two SATA 3.0 ports running at 6Gbps, giving desktop PCs extra connections for hard drives or SSDs. It fits standard and low-profile cases with the included bracket and works with Windows 7 through 11, macOS and Linux. Only MBR boot is supported; UEFI boot is not available.

Alloy heatsink and gold-plated contacts

A built-in alloy heatsink keeps the controller at room temperature for stable operation during sustained transfers. The 15U gold-plated conductors reduce wear and improve signal quality, while the thick PCB resists deformation over time. Hot-swap and AHCI with NCQ support let you add or remove drives without shutting down.

Two drives at 6Gbps each

The card comfortably handles a pair of SATA SSDs or hard disks at full 6Gbps bandwidth per port. Performance gains of 5 to 20 percent are possible with NCQ enabled. Windows XP and Server 2003 are not supported, and a blue screen on Windows 7 or 8 may require a system reinstall.
