RP-SMA Antenna Extension Cable 1 m 2-pack

Two RP-SMA male-to-female coaxial cables extend a Wi-Fi or cellular antenna by one metre each. They suit router, bridge or desktop-antenna setups that need the antenna moved away from the device for better signal. The 50 ohm engineering-grade wire is built for 2.4 GHz wireless LAN equipment. Not intended for TV or broadcast antennas.

Pure-copper RP-SMA connectors

Each cable terminates in an RP-SMA male plug and an RP-SMA female jack, not standard SMA, so they mate only with matching RP-SMA ports on routers, cards or external antennas. The one-metre black jacket gives enough slack to route around chassis or through panel openings without sharp bends. Supplied as a pair for dual-antenna MIMO devices or separate nodes.

IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n compliant for 2.4 GHz band

The cables meet the physical-layer requirements of 802.11 a, b, g and n wireless LANs operating at 2.4 GHz. Attenuation and impedance are characterised for 50 ohm systems up to 24 dBi antenna gain. They do not carry TV signals and are not rated for other frequency bands or connector types.

Questions about this item

What wireless standard does the RP-SMA cable support, and what frequency band does it cover?

The cable is compliant with IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n and works with multilevel coverage in the 2.4 GHz band.

What connector types and impedance does the cable use for a secure fit?

It has RP-SMA male and RP-SMA female connectors with 50 ohm pure copper joints.

How do you install the extension, and what common mistake should be avoided?

Connect the male end to the device and the female end to the antenna; do not confuse RP-SMA with standard SMA connectors.
