U.2 U.3 NVMe adapter card
The Vszerda SF-084-8643 converts a U.2 or U.3 NVMe SSD to an SFF-8643 connector. It passes PCIe 4.0 and 5.0 signals without altering speed or protocol. The card is transparent to the operating system and requires no driver installation. Builders adding enterprise NVMe storage to a workstation or server can use this adapter.
Included SATA power cable
A 5V and 12V SATA power lead is bundled with the adapter. It supplies the necessary voltages for U.2 and U.3 drives that need external power. The cable removes the need to source a separate power connection. Without it the drive would not receive power and would remain inactive.
PCIe 4.0 5.0 signal pass-through
The adapter supports data rates up to 64Gbps and NVMe 1.2 specification. It handles high-throughput enterprise workloads such as database acceleration and fast scratch space. Bandwidth is limited by the host slot and drive capability rather than the adapter itself. The card does not support SATA or SAS SSDs.

Questions about this item
Will the SFF-8639 connector or the 5 V / 12 V SATA power cable need periodic replacement?
The adapter has no moving parts or active components, so the connector and power cable do not require scheduled replacement under normal use.
What limits sustained throughput on the SFF-8639 to SFF-8643 link?
The card passes PCI Express 4.0 / 5.0 signals at up to 64 Gbps using the NVMe protocol, so the bus and the attached SSD set the ceiling.
Does the adapter add heat, noise or power draw when running all day?
It is a passive PCB with no fan or active circuitry, so it adds negligible heat, no noise and only the minimal power needed for signal integrity.
