This adapter converts a single motherboard Type-E or 19/20Pin header into two USB 3.0 20Pin and Type-E sockets. It is intended for builders who need extra front-panel USB ports from one internal connector. The 11cm cable keeps routing tidy inside the case. An included SATA power cable supplies the extra port.

SATA power enables the second port

The bundled SATA power cable provides the additional current required for the dual-output design. Without it the splitter cannot drive both USB 3.0 20Pin and Type-E sockets simultaneously. Connected devices such as front panels, hubs or card readers then receive full bus power. The short cable length limits placement to nearby headers.

5 Gbps shared across both outputs

The USB 3.0 interface caps total bandwidth at 5 Gbps, which both ports share. Simultaneous transfers on the two sockets will divide this throughput. The adapter does not increase the motherboard's native USB 3.0 controller limits. Buyers needing independent 5 Gbps lanes per port cannot achieve that with this splitter.
