Who It Suits

The 90-degree male-to-female design helps builders route the connection in tight spaces behind desks or inside enclosures. Users who need a straight plug, a shorter tail, or a cable that includes the required male-to-male lead should look elsewhere.

Setup Check

Confirm that your source port provides DisplayPort Alternate Mode for video and that your charger or dock can deliver up to 240 W if you plan to use the full power rating. Remember that a separate USB 3.2 male-to-male cable is required to complete the link.

Questions about this item

Will the 90-degree connector fit beside the HDMI port on my laptop without blocking it?

The 90-degree USB-C male plug routes the cable sideways, which often clears adjacent ports such as HDMI or another USB-C socket on the same edge.

Can I use a standard USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 male-to-male cable with this extender to reach 20 Gbps and 4K at 60 Hz?

Yes — pair the extender with any certified USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 male-to-male cable; the combination supports the full 20 Gbps data rate and 4K 60 Hz video.

How can I confirm the link is running at 20 Gbps after I connect my SSD enclosure?

Check the operating system’s USB controller view or run a sequential read test; a sustained throughput near 20 Gbps indicates the link negotiated Gen 2×2 speed.
