3-metre USB-C 3.2 Gen2 extension

This 3-metre USB-C 3.2 Gen2 male-to-female cable extends a host connection while preserving 20 Gbps data throughput, 4K at 60 Hz video output and up to 240 W power delivery. The aluminium-shell connectors and black jacket suit desktop or outdoor-computer setups where the stock cable falls short. It carries PD 3.1 and QC 4.0 charging profiles for laptops, external SSDs and eGPUs.

Users extending a single USB-C link

Builders who need to bridge a laptop to a monitor, dock or high-speed drive across a desk or bench will find the length and bandwidth adequate. Installations requiring multiple video streams, daisy-chained peripherals or cable runs beyond three metres should look elsewhere.

20 Gbps rated bandwidth

The cable is specified for 20 Gbps transfer speed, which determines whether it can drive a 4K 60 Hz display and sustain full SSD or eGPU performance. If the target device demands higher throughput, this extender will become the bottleneck.

Questions about this item

Will the 3 m male-to-female extender work with my existing USB-C 10 Gbps SSD and 4K@60 Hz monitor without slowing them down?

Yes. The cable is rated for 20 Gbps data and 4K@60 Hz video, so a 10 Gbps SSD and a 60 Hz monitor will run at their full speed across the 3 m length.

How can I confirm the cable is delivering 20 Gbps data and 240 W charging after I plug it in?

Check the OS link speed — it should show 20 Gbps — and use a USB-C power meter or the laptop’s battery menu to verify up to 240 W PD 3.1 charging.

Does the box include a 240 W charger or only the 3 m black aluminium cable with 24-pin connectors?

Only the 3 m male-to-female extension cable is included; a PD 3.1 charger and any host or peripheral cables must be bought separately.
