Vszerda USB C to USB B 3.1 Cable 4FT 10Gbps

This USB 3.1 Gen2 cable connects a USB-C host to devices with a USB 3.0 or 3.1 Type-B port. It supports data transfer up to 10Gbps with gold-plated connectors and double-shielded construction. The 1.2 metre length suits desktop setups linking external drives, docking stations or scanners.

Compatibility check before ordering

Verify your host has a USB-C port and the peripheral uses a standard USB 3.0/3.1 Type-B socket. This cable is not backward compatible with USB 2.0 Type-B ports. Confirm the device requires a male-to-male connection and that 4 feet of reach fits your workspace layout.

Upgrade from slower legacy cables

Replaces standard USB 2.0 Type-C to Type-B cables limited to 480Mbps. The jump is worth it when moving large files to external hard drives or docking stations that support 10Gbps throughput. Buyers needing USB 2.0 Type-B compatibility or longer runs should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and do I need any extra adapters?

The package contains the 1.2 meter USB-C to USB 3.1 Type B male-to-male cable with gold-plated connectors and double shielding. No extra adapters are required because both ends plug directly into a USB-C host and a USB 3.0 or 3.1 Type B device.

How do I decide between the USB 3.0 Type B and USB 3.1 Type B versions?

This single cable works with both USB 3.0 Type B and USB 3.1 Type B ports, so there is no separate version to choose. The GEN2 construction with two extra shielded twisted pairs enables 10 Gbps speeds on either port type.

Will I actually see 10 Gbps when I connect my external drive to a MacBook Pro?

The cable supports up to 10 Gbps USB 3.1 Gen 2 transfer rates, but real-world speed depends on the drive, the MacBook Pro USB-C port generation, and the file types being transferred.
