USB-C to USB-B 10-pack 6.6 ft

This pack contains ten USB-C to USB-B cables, each 6.6 ft long, designed to link USB-C hosts such as recent MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, Dell XPS 13 or 15, Surface Book 2 and similar laptops to USB 2.0 Type-B peripherals. The cables are new and intended for data transfer rather than power delivery.

Suited for legacy printers, scanners and MIDI gear

These cables suit users connecting older printers, scanners, printer switch hubs, audio interfaces, MIDI keyboards, MIDI controllers, DACs or external hard drives that have a USB 2.0 Type-B port. They do not fit devices with USB 3.1 Type-B, Mini-USB or standard USB-A ports, and the low power capability means they are not for charging laptops or driving bus-powered equipment.

USB 2.0 480 Mbps data rate

The single specification that decides compatibility is the USB 2.0 High Speed rating of 480 Mbps; the cable will only operate at this speed and requires both a USB-C host port and a USB 2.0 Type-B device port.

Questions about this item

Should I buy the 10-pack or a single cable?

The product is sold as a 10-pack containing ten identical 6.6 ft USB-C to USB-B 2.0 cables.

Will the 480 Mbps speed handle my printer and MIDI gear?

The cable supports USB 2.0 High Speed up to 480 Mbps, sufficient for printers, scanners, MIDI keyboards, controllers and audio interfaces with USB-B 2.0 ports.

Is the USB-C end limited to USB 2.0 or does it run faster?

The cable is a USB 2.0 Type-C to Type-B link, so the connection is capped at 480 Mbps even when plugged into a USB 3.1 or newer Type-C port.
