1.8 m USB-to-FireWire 4-pin adapter cable

This 1.8 m cable connects a USB host port to a 4-pin IEEE 1394 iLink device. It allows legacy FireWire peripherals such as DV cameras or external drives to communicate with modern computers that lack a native FireWire port. The adapter is supplied new and ready for immediate use.

Compatibility note for USB-to-FireWire bridging

The cable suits users who need a simple bridge between a USB port and a 4-pin FireWire device. It will not work for equipment that requires a 6-pin or 9-pin FireWire connection, nor for hosts that cannot supply the power the peripheral expects. Buyers needing those connectors should look for a different adapter.
