40 Gbps USB4 cable with 100 W charging
This 1.8 m USB4 cable delivers up to 40 Gbps data transfer and carries 100 W power for charging laptops while connected. It supports single-display video output at 8K 30 Hz, 5K 60 Hz or 4K 60 Hz. The cable is backward compatible with Thunderbolt 3 and 4 hosts.
Check your host and display ports before ordering
Your computer must provide a USB4 or Thunderbolt 3 or 4 port that supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode for video. The monitor or dock must also accept video over its USB-C input. Standard USB-C ports without Alternate Mode will not pass a video signal through this cable.
Connects host to monitor.
The male-to-male USB-C ends link a compatible laptop directly to an 8K or 5K display, a Thunderbolt dock or a high-speed storage device. One cable handles 40 Gbps data, 100 W charging and video simultaneously, reducing the number of separate power and signal leads on the desk.

Questions about this item
Does the cable come with any adapters or do I need to buy a USB-C to DisplayPort adapter separately?
The package contains only the USB-C to USB-C cable itself. Any adapter for DisplayPort, HDMI or other video inputs must be purchased separately.
Should I choose a shorter cable to keep the full 40Gbps speed or is the 1.8 m length rated for that rate?
The 1.8 m cable is specified for the full USB 4.0 40Gbps data rate, so you do not need a shorter length to achieve the headline speed.
My monitor only has a USB-C port — will the 8K@30Hz figure work straight away or does the monitor need a specific mode?
The monitor’s USB-C port must support DisplayPort Alternate Mode; without that mode the 8K@30Hz video output will not function.
