USB4 Extension Cable 40Gbps 240W 8K 1M

This one-metre USB-C extension cable is built to the USB4 specification and delivers up to 40Gbps data transfer, 240W power delivery and 8K@60Hz video. It is intended for laptop owners and workstation users who need extra reach without losing bandwidth or charging speed.

Build integration

The male-to-female layout plugs between a host port and an existing Thunderbolt 3 or Thunderbolt 4 cable, dock, eGPU enclosure or SSD, adding length while preserving full 40Gbps throughput and 48V5A charging. Total chain length must stay within 2.15 metres, so only 0.15 metres of additional cable can follow this extender.

Bundled technology

An integrated E-Marker chip negotiates PD3.1 parameters and provides overheating protection, while silver-plated copper conductors, gold-plated contacts, an aluminium alloy shell and braided nylon jacket maintain signal integrity and physical durability.

Questions about this item

Will the 40Gbps data rate hold up during long file transfers?

The cable is rated for 40Gbps, but the connected devices and your own data must also support that speed or the rate will drop.

Does the cable get hot or draw extra power when used all day?

An E-Marker chip adjusts parameters and provides overheating protection, so the cable manages heat and power draw during continuous use.

What must my laptop or dock already have for this cable to work?

The host needs a USB-C port with DP Alternate Mode and the device must support Thunderbolt 3 or 4 for full video and data features.
