Vulcan Remote Sensor Thermostat
The Vulcan remote sensor thermostat is a line-voltage mechanical switch designed for heating applications. It operates across a 120 to 480 VAC supply with a control range of 100 to 550 degrees Fahrenheit. A 7 5/16 inch sensing bulb and 84 inch capillary provide remote temperature detection. The DPST switch opens on temperature rise.
Electrical Limits and Switching Capacity
Full load current is rated at 15 amps at 120 VAC and 30 amps at 240 VAC. The single DPST switch handles one heating circuit and is not programmable. Voltage must stay within the stated 120 to 480 VAC window for safe operation. The mechanical mechanism requires no external power source to function.
Replaces Fixed-Bulb Mechanical Thermostats
This unit upgrades installations where the sensor must sit away from the controller, such as duct-mounted or process-heating setups. The long capillary allows the bulb to reach the measurement point while the switch remains accessible. It is not suited for cooling control, multi-stage sequencing or digital automation needs.

Questions about this item
How do I decide between the 120 VAC and 240 VAC ratings for my circuit?
The thermostat handles both voltages; at 120 VAC it carries 15 A, and at 240 VAC it carries 30 A, so choose the rating that matches your supply and load.
What does the 100 to 550 °F control range mean when the unit is installed?
The switch opens on temperature rise anywhere between 100 °F and 550 °F, letting you set the exact cut-out point for your heating equipment.
How does the 84-inch capillary limit where I can place the sensing bulb?
The 84-inch capillary sets the maximum distance between the thermostat body and the remote bulb, so the bulb must stay within that length from the controller.
