Precision pen for Intuos4 and Cintiq 21

The Wacom KP501E2 Grip Pen is a pressure-sensitive stylus built for Intuos4 and Cintiq 21 tablets. It delivers 2048 pressure levels with tip response starting at a single gram. The rubberised grip reduces required gripping force by up to 40 percent during extended sessions.

Interface and tilt limits

The pen communicates through the tablet's electromagnetic resonance surface, so it requires a compatible Intuos4 or Cintiq 21 device to function. Tilt recognition operates within a range of plus or minus 60 degrees. No wireless or Bluetooth capability is built into the pen itself.

Replaces worn or lost Intuos4 stylus

This pen replaces a missing or damaged original stylus for Intuos4 and Cintiq 21 owners. The upgrade is worth it when the old nibs no longer hold tolerance or the grip surface has degraded. The package includes 10 replacement nibs, a nib puller and a weighted stand. Buyers needing multi-touch or wireless pointing features should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Which accessories come with the KP501E2 Grip Pen?

The package includes the Grip Pen itself, 10 replacement nibs, a nib puller and a weighted pen stand for storage.

What does the 2048 pressure-level figure mean when drawing?

It means the pen registers 2048 distinct steps of force from a single gram upwards, so every light stroke and heavy press is captured accurately.

How does the ±60-degree tilt recognition affect daily use?

Tilting the pen up to 60 degrees in any direction changes line width or opacity naturally, just like a real brush or pencil.
