40th Anniversary Edition Contents

This release marks the 40th anniversary of the 1973 animated classic Robin Hood. It arrives as a three-disc set containing a Blu-ray disc, a standard DVD, and a Digital Copy code for portable viewing. The package presents the film in its original theatrical aspect ratio with a G rating for general audiences.

Families and Collectors

The G rating and 83-minute runtime make this a suitable choice for family movie nights with young children. Animation enthusiasts will appreciate the high-definition presentation of Wolfgang Reitherman's direction on Blu-ray. Buyers who only require a standard-definition copy or who lack a Blu-ray player should consider the DVD-only versions available separately.

Blu-ray High-Definition Format

The inclusion of a Blu-ray disc is the specification that defines this edition's primary value. It delivers the 1973 feature at a resolution and bitrate impossible on the companion DVD. Verify that your playback hardware supports Blu-ray before purchase, as the high-definition disc will not function in DVD-only drives.
