WARSUN ZJ889 30W Rechargeable Lantern

The WARSUN ZJ889 is a portable LED lantern built for outdoor enthusiasts and tradespeople who need reliable cordless light. It delivers up to 1200 lumens from a 30W LED powered by two 1800 mAh 18650 Li-ion batteries. A USB output lets you charge phones or small devices while working or camping. The blue aluminium body survives a 1.5 m drop test.

Two brightness modes and 600 ft throw

Only High and Medium modes are available, so you cannot fine-tune output for close-up tasks or maximum runtime. The brightest setting pushes 1500 lumens and reaches over 600 feet, but a single charge lasts just over five hours at that level. Medium mode extends runtime at the cost of distance. No low, strobe or SOS functions exist.

Magnetic base and hanging hook for hands-free use

A strong magnet holds the lantern to steel surfaces such as car panels, while a fold-out hook secures it to tent loops or branches. No tripod thread or strap mounts are provided, limiting options on non-magnetic vertical surfaces. The USB port is for power-out only; recharging requires the supplied cable and a separate 5 V adapter.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the high or medium mode for maximum runtime?

The high 1200 lumen mode runs over five hours on a full charge, while the lower medium setting extends runtime further for longer jobs.

What does the 1200 lumen rating deliver in actual use?

It produces a beam reaching beyond 600 feet and lights an area twice as wide as ordinary portable work lights.

How does the USB port limit charging speed for phones?

The built-in 1800 mAh 18650 cells supply power through the USB output, so phone charging speed depends on the lantern's remaining capacity.
