Desktop thermal barcode printer with direct thermal and thermal transfer printing at 5 ips and 203 dpi resolution
The Wasp WPL305 is a desktop barcode printer that supports both direct thermal and thermal transfer printing. It produces labels up to 4.25 inches wide at 203 dpi resolution with a print speed of 5 ips. The unit suits small offices, warehouses and retail counters that need reliable label output in a compact footprint.
Before ordering, confirm that your host system runs a supported Windows version from 2000 through Windows 8 or the corresponding Server editions. The printer connects via Parallel, Serial or USB interfaces, so verify the available port on your PC or terminal. Media rolls must not exceed 5.00 inches outer diameter with a 1.00 inch core, and label width must fall between 1.00 and 4.40 inches.
This model replaces older desktop units that lack thermal transfer capability or that max out at narrower print widths. The jump is worthwhile when you need the flexibility to print on both direct thermal and ribbon-based media, or when your label format requires the 4.25 inch maximum print width. It is not for operations that require an integrated RFID encoder or an automatic cutter.

Use direct thermal for short-life labels without ribbon; switch to thermal transfer with a 300 m ribbon for durable prints on the same 4.25" max print width.
At 5 inches per second the printer can produce a 4.25" wide label up to 90.00" long in a single job, suited for batch printing in office or warehouse settings.
