Hands-free 1D ring scanner

The Wasp WRS100SBR is a wearable laser barcode reader that straps to either hand, leaving both hands free for picking, packing or inventory tasks. It connects wirelessly over Bluetooth 4.1 to iOS, Android or Windows devices up to 10 metres away. The lightweight 0.04 lb body is built for full-shift comfort during mobile operations.

USB cable and Velcro strap included

The bundle supplies a USB charging cable and an adjustable Velcro strap so the scanner can be powered and worn immediately. Dual touch-activated buttons reduce accidental triggers while the double-strap design lets operators switch hands without removing the device. Power-saving circuitry supports more than 8 working hours on a single charge.

400 scans per second laser engine

The 1D laser engine captures UPC, EAN, Code 128, Code 39 and other common symbologies at up to 400 scans per second with a 32.81 ft reading distance. It reads both printed labels and on-screen barcodes on LCD displays. This scanner does not decode 2D codes such as QR or Data Matrix.

Questions about this item

How long will the internal battery last before it needs replacing?

The scanner is built with power-saving technology that supports more than 8 working hours per charge, so the rechargeable cell should last through a full shift before needing a recharge.

What limits continuous scanning during a long shift?

Battery runtime is the first limit; the unit delivers over 8 hours of operation on a single charge before it must be plugged in again.

How much heat or noise does the ring scanner produce when worn all day?

The device has no fan or moving parts, so it runs silently and stays cool during extended wear.
