What the BOOPNEW cleans

The Waterpik BOOPNEW is an ultrasonic retainer cleaner that uses 45kHz sound waves and six UV lights to clean dental appliances such as retainers, mouth guards, night guards and aligners. A 250ML stainless steel tank holds items of various sizes. The rechargeable unit runs at under 50 dB for quiet operation.

Replacing manual brushing and soaking

This device replaces hand scrubbing and chemical soaking by reaching corners and crevices that brushes miss. The jump is worth it when you want a hands-free routine with four timed modes at 3, 5, 8 and 10 minutes that shut off automatically. Independent UV control lets you add sterilisation only when you choose.

Check your space and power needs

Verify that the 14.33in width, 12.83in height and 9.06in depth fit your countertop or travel bag. Confirm you can recharge the unit between uses since no disposable power source is included. Ensure the items you intend to clean fit inside the 250ML tank before ordering.

Questions about this item

How much counter space does the 14.33in wide by 9.06in deep unit need?

The cleaner measures 14.33 inches wide and 9.06 inches deep, so allow at least that footprint plus a few centimetres clearance for the lid to open fully.

What is the correct way to start a cycle and avoid the common mistake?

Fill the 250ML stainless tank with water, place the appliance inside, close the lid, then press the mode button to select 3, 5, 8 or 10 minutes; the unit will not start if the lid is open.

When will the UV LEDs or the rechargeable battery need replacement?

The six UV LEDs are rated for long life and are not user-replaceable; the internal rechargeable battery should last several years and is also not user-serviceable.
