Compact Travel Charger

The Watson Compact AC/DC Charger powers Nikon EN-EL15 lithium-ion batteries using the included dedicated plate. It accepts 100-240VAC for worldwide operation and folds its US prongs flat for packing. A Euro plug adapter and 12VDC car adapter are supplied, so the unit works at home, in Europe or from a vehicle cigarette lighter. A USB output lets you charge phones or other USB devices at the same time.

Sustained Operation

The charger runs continuously from mains or 12V DC without a built-in battery, so output stays stable as long as power is present. The interchangeable plate system means the same base can serve other battery types when you buy additional plates. USB power is available even while the camera battery is charging, removing the need to choose between devices. Heat dissipation is passive, keeping the unit silent during long sessions.

Build and Connectors

The fold-out AC plug retracts flush with the body, protecting the prongs and reducing bag bulk. The Euro adapter and car adapter attach securely, so they do not work loose in transit. The USB port is a standard Type-A socket, compatible with common cables for phones, MP3 players or cameras. The dedicated EN-EL15 plate clicks in firmly and can be swapped for other Watson plates when your kit changes.

Questions about this item

Does the charger run hot or make noise when it stays plugged in all day?

The compact unit has no fan and draws little current, so it stays cool and silent during extended use.

What must I already own to charge my camera battery with this unit?

You need a Nikon EN-EL15 type lithium-ion battery; the dedicated plate for that battery is included in the box.

Can I keep using my older EN-EL15 batteries with this charger?

Yes, the charger works with any EN-EL15 type battery, and the interchangeable plate system supports additional battery models if you buy separate adapter plates.
