Industrial Pressure Control
The Watts lead-free brass valve reduces incoming water pressure to a preset 50 psi and can be adjusted between 25 and 75 psi. It fits a 2-inch NPT union connection and meets ASSE 1003, ANSI A112.26.2, CSA B356 and NSF/ANSI 61-8 standards for potable water systems.
Thermal and Pressure Limits
The body withstands a maximum pressure of 400 psi and a maximum temperature of 160 degrees F. An integrated strainer protects the seat from debris during normal operation. The compact 6-inch height and 5-1/8-inch length allow installation in confined mechanical rooms.
Included Strainer Benefit
The factory-fitted strainer reduces maintenance by trapping sediment before it reaches the pressure-reducing mechanism. Lead-free brass construction satisfies current low-lead regulations for drinking water supply lines. Union connections simplify removal for cleaning or replacement without cutting pipe.

Questions about this item
How do I install the 2 in NPT union valve and what step is often missed?
Thread the union connections onto the pipe using pipe sealant on the male threads, then tighten the union nut. The step often missed is installing the valve with the flow arrow pointing in the correct direction.
What maintenance will the strainer need over time?
The integral strainer should be cleaned periodically by shutting off the water supply, relieving pressure, removing the strainer cap, and flushing or brushing the screen to clear debris.
At what temperature limit does the valve reach its maximum rated operating condition?
The valve is rated for a maximum operating temperature of 160 degrees F. Sustained use above this temperature exceeds the design limits of the lead free brass body and internal components.
