7-inch DSI portable monitor with 800×480 resolution and 5-point capacitive touch for Raspberry Pi boards
This 7-inch portable monitor connects directly to Raspberry Pi boards including Pi 4B, 3B+, 3A+, 3B, 2B, B+, A+ and Compute Module 4, 3+ and 3. It provides an 800×480 hardware resolution on a TFT panel with a capacitive touch surface. The display is intended for embedded projects, kiosk interfaces and portable Pi setups that need a compact screen.
The monitor uses a DSI interface that drives the panel at up to 60 Hz and allows software-controlled backlight adjustment. Compute Module 4, 3+ and 3 require an extra adapter board not included with the screen. Touch support varies by operating system: Raspbian and Retropie enable 5-point touch driver-free, while Ubuntu, Kali and Windows 10 IoT offer single-point touch driver-free.
The fixed 800×480 resolution determines whether the screen matches your application's layout and readability needs. Buyers who need more pixels for detailed graphics or multi-window desktop work should look elsewhere. The 5-point capacitive panel suits touch-driven interfaces but does not replace a mouse-driven workflow on higher-resolution displays.
