WAVLINK WL-VR204 professional video device 4K@30Hz capture 4K@144Hz output 100W PD

Capture and output for creators

The WL-VR204 captures 4K at 30 Hz through its HDMI input while passing a clean 4K 30 Hz loop-out to a monitor. A single DisplayPort or USB-C video port then drives an external display at 4K 144 Hz HDR. Two front USB 2.0 ports handle peripherals at up to 480 Mbps. The aluminium enclosure measures 13.4 by 6.2 by 1.7 centimetres and weighs 127 grams.

Build integration and power

Connect the capture card to a laptop or desktop via the 100 cm USB-C host cable. The rear USB-C port accepts up to 100 W of Power Delivery and delivers 90 W to the host, so a compatible charger keeps the system powered during long sessions. No separate power brick is included; the unit draws what it needs from the PD source. HDMI output mirrors the captured signal at 4K 30 Hz for local preview.

Thermals noise and draw

Passive aluminium housing dissipates heat without fans, so operation is silent. Power draw scales with the attached laptop charge rate and the 4K 144 Hz output load, staying within the 100 W PD budget. Surface temperature remains low enough for desk placement during extended capture or streaming workloads.
