Genuine Weber Door Magnet 81270

This genuine Weber replacement magnet fits Genesis and Summit gas grills produced between 2007 and 2009. It restores the positive latch that keeps the door closed during cooking and storage. The part is sold individually under part number 81270.

Simple Magnetic Catch Replacement

Installation requires no tools; the old magnet pulls off and the new one presses into the same recess. The only common issue is residual grease or heat-damaged plastic preventing a clean seat, so wipe the mounting area before fitting.

Verify Grill Model Before Ordering

Confirm your grill appears on the 315-model compatibility list that spans Genesis 310, 320 and Summit 450, 470, 650 series from 2007 to 2009. Grills outside those model years or series use a different catch and will not accept this magnet.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the magnet door is working correctly after installing it on my Genesis or Summit grill?

After fitting the magnet door, close the lid fully; it should latch securely without gaps and stay shut when you release it, indicating the magnetic seal is holding on the compatible 2007‑2009 Genesis 310, 320, EP‑320, ESP‑310 or Summit 450, 470, 650 models.

What comes in the box with part WEB81270 and do I need any extra hardware?

The package contains one Weber magnet door assembly, part number 81270, sold as a single unit; no screws, brackets or additional fasteners are included, so reuse the existing hardware from the original door on your grill.

My grill is a Genesis S‑310 from 2008 — will this magnet door fit or do I need a different version?

Yes, the WEB81270 magnet door is listed for the Genesis S‑310 NG 2008 among 315 compatible model numbers, so this single version covers your grill without requiring an alternative part.
