12" Standard Twist Knot Wire Wheel

The Weiler 08209 is a 12-inch radial brush built for straight grinders, bench grinders, pedestal grinders and buffing lathes. Its standard twist knot construction uses .014-inch heat-treated steel wire to deliver heavy-duty brushing action with flexibility for irregular surfaces. The 1-1/4-inch unthreaded arbor hole fits common grinder spindles. Maximum speed is rated at 3600 rpm.

Ideal for carbon steel surface preparation

This brush suits users removing rust, paint, weld scale, spatter and heavy corrosion from carbon steel. The high tensile strength steel fill resists wear during aggressive deburring and cleaning. It is not for operators needing stainless or bronze wire to avoid contamination, nor for tools that cannot accommodate a 12-inch diameter or 3600 rpm limit.

The .014-inch wire thickness determines the aggression and finish quality on carbon steel. Thicker wire would remove material faster but leave a rougher profile; finer wire would produce a smoother finish with less cutting power.
