Because both sensors share a single USB 2.0 link, only one stream can run at full bandwidth at a time. Switching between the OV5693 and IMX258 streams requires software control; attempting simultaneous capture will drop frame rates or fail entirely.

Resolution and Frame-Rate Limits

The IMX258 sensor delivers 4K 3840 x 2160 at 30 FPS in MJPEG, while the OV5693 tops out at 2952 x 1944 at 30 FPS in MJPEG and only 3 FPS at that resolution in YUY2. If your application needs sustained high-frame-rate YUY2 at full resolution, this module will not meet that requirement.
