Maximum still resolution reaches 4624x3468 pixels at 10fps in MJPEG format, while 3840x2160 video runs at 25fps for smoother motion capture. Lower resolutions such as 3264x2448 and 2592x1944 also operate at 10fps. The 78.4° autofocus lens and 1.12µm pixels deliver usable detail in good light, but the rolling shutter and 10fps ceiling at full resolution limit high-speed or low-light applications.

Upgrades fixed-focus or lower-resolution USB

This module replaces fixed-focus or sub-16MP USB cameras where autofocus and higher pixel count are required for document capture, barcode reading or face recognition. The jump is worthwhile when the host system can consume MJPEG streams over USB 2.0 and the 38x38mm footprint fits the enclosure.
