12 Litre Smart Sensor Bin

The Wenger Smart Sensor Trash Can holds 12 litres of waste and opens its lid in .3 seconds using an infrared sensor. Hands-free operation keeps kitchen work surfaces hygienic during food preparation. Durable plastic construction suits daily household use.

Adjustable Range with Knee Activation

Suits cooks who want touch-free disposal and the option to set detection between 15 cm and 30 cm. The knee sensor allows opening without bending, helpful when hands are full. Buyers needing a larger capacity or a metal finish should look at something else.

0.3 Second Lid Response

The lid reacts in .3 seconds and closes automatically after three seconds, trapping odours quickly. This speed decides whether the bin keeps pace with a busy kitchen workflow. Dimensions are 10.3 x 7.8 x 14.1 inches for space planning.

Questions about this item

Does the Wenger 12L trash can include batteries or a power adapter?

The unit runs on four AA batteries that are not supplied, so they must be purchased separately before first use.

How do I choose between the two sensor modes for my kitchen layout?

Use the hand-wave sensor at the default 25cm range for counter-top placement; switch to the knee sensor and extend the range toward 30cm when the bin sits under a cabinet or in a tight corner.

What does the 0.3 second lid speed mean during everyday cooking?

The lid opens in three-tenths of a second, fast enough to catch scraps mid-chop, then closes automatically after three seconds to seal in odors.
