Converts RCA composite video to HDMI at up to 1080p 60 Hz for legacy consoles, VCRs and DVD players, with plug-and-play USB power
This WENTER adapter converts composite RCA (yellow, white, red) video and audio signals to HDMI 720p or 1080p at 60 Hz. It lets owners of PS2, PS3, Xbox, N64, Wii, VCR, DVD, STB and similar analogue sources connect directly to modern TVs or monitors that only have HDMI inputs. The conversion is one-way only — RCA to HDMI — so it cannot drive an older display from an HDMI source. No driver installation is required; the unit is powered via the included USB cable from any 5 V 1 A supply.
The converter draws power from a standard USB port or wall adapter, adding no fan noise and negligible heat to an entertainment setup. Signal processing uses 10-bit sampling at 162 MSPS with black/white level expansion, dynamic range expansion and blue stretching to produce a stable 1080p 60 Hz image. Start-up takes roughly 10 seconds before the picture appears, which is normal behaviour and not a fault. Because the device is purely a signal translator, it introduces no audible noise and no measurable thermal load.
The unit weighs 0.109 kg and fits easily behind a TV or inside a media cabinet without blocking adjacent ports. It provides three RCA inputs (composite video plus stereo audio) and a single HDMI output, plus an integrated HDMI cable for a tidy connection. Supported broadcast standards include PAL, NTSC 3.58, NTSC 4.43, SECAM, PAL/M and PAL/N, covering most regional legacy formats. The package includes the converter, a USB power cable, an HDMI cable and a user manual; a 5 V 1 A power adapter is not included.

Connect the RCA cables from your source to the converter's yellow, white, and red inputs, then plug the HDMI cable into your TV. The step people miss is connecting the included USB power cable to a 5V 1A adapter; the unit will not work without external power.
The unit has no moving parts or user-serviceable components. If the USB power cable or the external 5V 1A adapter fails, replace them. The converter itself requires no routine maintenance.
The output is capped at 1080p resolution at 60Hz. The converter samples at 162 MSPS with up to 10-bit processing, so the resolution and frame-rate ceiling is the first constraint you will reach.
