Compact waterproof storage for water sports

The WEPOET 5173 dry bag uses abrasion‑resistant PVC to keep contents dry during kayaking, swimming, boating, fishing and beach trips. A roll‑top closure seals out water while the transparent panel lets you locate items or view a phone screen without opening the bag. It weighs 0.2 kilograms and packs down small when not in use.

Thermals noise and power draw in normal use

The bag has no electronics, so it generates no heat, noise or power draw during normal use. The PVC material withstands sun, splashes and temperature swings without degrading. An adjustable single shoulder strap lets you carry the rolled bag comfortably on long portages or beach walks.

Upgrades from basic zip‑lock bags

This dry bag replaces disposable plastic bags that tear easily and leak at the seal. The jump is worth it when you need reliable protection for a phone, keys, wallet or a change of clothes across repeated wet‑weather outings. Buyers who need more than 10 litres of capacity or a backpack‑style harness should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I seal the roll-top correctly so water cannot enter?

Fold the top edge over at least three times, then clip the buckle tight; the single shoulder strap must stay outside the folded section or the seal will leak.

What part of the bag wears out first and needs replacing?

The buckle on the roll-top closure and the adjustable shoulder strap are the only moving components; both can be swapped if the plastic fatigues.

At what load does the 0.2 kg bag start to strain under sustained carry?

The 5 L version holds a phone, keys and power bank comfortably; the 10 L version fits an iPad mini plus clothing — exceeding those volumes stresses the welded seams first.
