Compatibility and protection

This hard-shell case fits the MacBook 12 inch model A1534 released between 2015 and 2018. It shields the chassis from shocks, scratches and dust while a silicone keyboard cover guards against spills. The Rose Gold finish lets the Apple logo shine through without a cut-out. Snap-on installation keeps every port accessible.

For exact-model buyers only

Suits owners who have verified the A1534 number on the base of their 12 inch MacBook. Not for users of any other MacBook size, model year or model number. Not for buyers who prefer a soft sleeve, a fabric skin or a case with a transparent logo window.

Model-number match decides fit

The only specification that guarantees a correct fit is the A1534 identifier printed on the laptop. If that number differs, the case will not align with ports, vents or the hinge mechanism.

Questions about this item

Does the hard-shell case trap heat during all-day use?

Vent slots and air-flow channels are built into the plastic shell so the MacBook 12 inch A1534 can dissipate heat normally while the case stays on.

What must I already own for this case to fit?

You need a MacBook 12 inch with Retina Display showing model number A1534 on the bottom, released in 2015, 2016, 2017 or 2018.

Will the case interfere with the ports on my 2015 MacBook 12 inch?

The snap-on design leaves every port fully accessible and lets you open the lid completely without removing the shell.
