Compatibility Details

This hard-shell case fits the MacBook 12-inch Retina model A1534 only. It does not fit MacBook Pro 13-inch models A1278, A1502, A1425, A1708, or A1706, nor MacBook Air 11-inch models A1465. Buyers with any other MacBook model should look at a different case.

Keyboard Cover Layout

The included ultra-thin silicone keyboard cover is designed for the US keyboard layout where the Enter key is rectangular. It will not align correctly on European layouts where the Enter key is shaped like a 7. Buyers using a European keyboard should look for a cover matching that layout.

Protection Features

The matte frosted shell guards against shocks, scratches, and dust while adding minimal bulk. Vent slots allow heat to escape, and the Apple logo shines through the no-cutout design. All ports remain fully accessible with the case installed.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the hard-shell case fits my MacBook 12″ A1534 correctly after putting it on?

The case should snap securely around the edges, allow the lid to open and close fully, leave every port accessible, show the Apple logo through the frosted finish, and keep the vent slots unobstructed for heat dissipation.

What items are included in the package and is anything else required for installation?

The box contains the yellow matte hard-shell case and a US-layout silicone keyboard cover; no extra parts or tools are needed — simply snap the case on and lay the cover over the keyboard.

Which keyboard-cover version should I choose for my MacBook 12″ A1534?

Choose the US-edition cover, which has a rectangular Enter key; the Europe-edition cover with the “7”-shaped Enter key will not fit this model.
