What the tracker does and who it suits

The Werleo car tracker is a compact GPS locator that reports its position through Apple's Find My network without any subscription fee. It is intended for iPhone or iPad owners who want a simple way to monitor a vehicle, motorcycle or other asset from their existing iOS device.

Behaviour during continuous use

The tracker relies on a single CR2032 coin cell rated for roughly one year of standby time, so it is designed for infrequent location updates rather than constant live tracking. Battery status can be checked in the Find My app and the cell is user-replaceable, allowing the device to stay operational for extended periods without frequent maintenance.

Installation experience and common issues

Setup consists of pairing the tag with an iOS device and placing it inside the supplied magnetic waterproof case, which clamps onto any ferrous surface. The system does not support Android phones, so households with mixed platforms cannot share the tracker, and the Find My network only updates when the tag comes near other Apple devices.
