Compatible Speedlight

The Westcott Magnetic Diffusion Dome is made specifically for the FJ80 universal speedlight. It provides a dedicated light-modifying accessory for photographers who want broader illumination from that flash unit.

Installation and Common Issues

The dome uses a quick-attach magnetic design that connects instantly to the front of the FJ80 speedlight. Users should ensure the magnetic contacts are clean and free of debris so the dome seats securely without slipping during use.

Pre-Order Checks

Confirm you own the FJ80 speedlight because this dome is not compatible with other flash models. Verify whether you need FJ80 color gels, sold separately, if you plan to change the colour of the entire illuminated space.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the dome is diffusing the FJ80 speedlight output into a soft 360-degree spread after attaching it?

When the magnetic dome is seated on the FJ80, the bare flash pattern disappears and the room fills with an even, omnidirectional glow that wraps around subjects without hot spots.

What comes in the package and which accessories such as colour gels must be purchased separately?

The box contains only the 1.5-stop magnetic diffusion dome; FJ80 colour gels are sold separately and are not included.

Which version of the diffusion dome should I choose for the FJ80 speedlight?

This single model is purpose-built for the FJ80 universal speedlight, so there are no alternative versions or capacities to select.
