USB 3.2 Gen 1 and USB 2.0 limits

The drive uses a USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface, also referred to as USB 3.1 or USB 3.0, with a fallback to USB 2.0 on older ports. Transfer speed will not exceed the bandwidth of the host port, so performance on USB 2.0 is substantially lower. Cable length and port power delivery can also affect sustained throughput.
