DIY PVC Dust Filter Kit

The Westinghouse YX-Woanger-4295 supplies two white PVC mesh sheets measuring 1000 x 300 mm with a 0.5 mm hole pattern. Each sheet can be trimmed to fit any fan opening on a PC case, speaker cabinet or game console. Eight magnetic strips sized 40 x 1 cm are included for tool-free attachment to ferrous surfaces.

Magnetic Strips Enable Quick Mounting

The adhesive-backed magnetic strips eliminate drilling; simply peel and stick the strips to the mesh then snap the assembly onto the iron chassis. The 0.5 mm mesh holes block dust and hair while maintaining high airflow, and the PVC material can be removed and cleaned without degrading. The kit weighs 0.272 kilograms total.

Suits Builders Needing Custom-Sized Filtration

This kit suits DIY enthusiasts who want cut-to-fit dust protection for multiple intake points. Buyers requiring pre-cut filters for specific case models or non-magnetic aluminium and plastic panels should look elsewhere. The white colour may not match darker chassis aesthetics.

Questions about this item

How often will the PVC mesh and magnetic strips need replacing?

The PVC mesh is described as sturdy and resistant to breaking or deforming, and it can be removed and cleaned repeatedly, so no fixed replacement interval is required.

What limits airflow first when the filter is running continuously?

The mesh uses a 0.5 mm hole design that is intended to block dust and hair while not restricting airflow, so the hole size is the primary factor governing air passage.

Does the filter add noticeable heat or noise inside the case during all-day operation?

The filter is a passive PVC mesh with no moving parts and no power draw, so it generates no noise and adds no heat to the system.
