Westward Magnesium Concrete Float

The Westward magnesium concrete float measures sixteen inches long and three and a half inches wide. A beveled edge runs along the blade to help smooth fresh concrete without dragging. The wood handle extends ten inches for comfortable two-handed control. This hand tool arrives new and ready for site work.

Blade material and handle design

Magnesium construction keeps the blade lightweight while resisting corrosion from wet concrete. The square blade shape with a tapered minimum width of one and three eighths inches allows work in corners and along forms. Included hardware secures the wood handle firmly to the blade. No backing material is required for operation.

Finishers needing a light magnesium float

Concrete finishers who prefer a lightweight magnesium blade for early floating passes will find this tool suitable. Builders who require a larger blade area or a different handle material should look at other options. The float is designed for hand smoothing of flat concrete surfaces.

Questions about this item

How long can the 16 in magnesium blade stay flat under sustained trowelling before it starts to flex?

The 0.38 in thick magnesium blade is rigid enough for continuous finishing passes on fresh concrete without noticeable bowing.

Does the wood handle stay cool and comfortable during all-day slab work?

The 10 in wood handle does not conduct heat like metal and absorbs vibration, keeping grip fatigue low over long shifts.

What do I need on site before I can use this float?

Only fresh concrete at the right slump; the float ships complete with its handle already attached.
