Westward 1EJX7 Measuring Wheel 1 m

The Westward 1EJX7 is a spoked measuring wheel built for outdoor distance work. It uses a 1 m circumference wheel made from high impact polycarbonate in a safety green finish. A 6 digit ratchet counter adds and subtracts as you walk, while a push lever button resets the count instantly. The handle extends to 44 in. and the unit folds for storage in a nylon carrying case.

Surveyors and landscapers needing long-range counts

This wheel suits professionals who measure up to 100 000 m on job sites and want a lightweight tool that adds and subtracts automatically. Buyers who need a compact pocket tape for short indoor spans or a digital laser device for precise point-to-point readings should look at something else. The mechanical counter requires no batteries but offers no data export or Bluetooth connectivity.

Check handle height and wheel clearance before

Ensure the 44 in. extended handle matches your working posture for comfortable pushing over long distances. Verify that the 32 cm wheel diameter can roll across the terrain you encounter, such as grass, gravel or pavement, without snagging. Confirm the 7.3 lb. weight is manageable for daily transport and that the folded dimensions fit your vehicle or tool storage space.

Questions about this item

What surface or accessory is needed to keep the 1 m circumference wheel stable while measuring?

The wheel has a built-in stand so it remains upright on flat ground without extra accessories.

Can the 6-digit ratchet counter continue from measurements taken with an older mechanical wheel?

Yes, the counter adds and subtracts, and the push-lever reset lets you start a new run at zero while retaining prior totals.

How do I confirm the 32 cm diameter wheel is registering distance correctly after unfolding the 44-inch handle?

Roll the wheel a known distance — for example 10 m — and verify the counter advances by exactly ten units.
