35 ft steel tape measure

The Westward 1MKT3 is a long tape measure built for layout work that calls for extended reach. A 35 ft steel blade with a yellow lacquer finish and a chrome ABS case makes it suited to contractors and tradespeople who need a durable, easy-to-read rule on site.

Blade capacity and standout

The 1 in wide blade extends 35 ft and offers a 6 ft standout before it buckles. Graduations run at 1/32 in for the first 12 in and 1/16 in thereafter, with 16 in and 19.2 in stud centre markings for framing layout. The 3-rivet hook and toggle lock hold the blade firmly during one-person measurements.

Thermals noise and power draw

This is a manual hand tool with no motor, electronics or power source, so it produces no heat, no noise and draws no power in use. The automatic rewind spring retracts the blade smoothly, and the belt clip keeps the closed case secure on a work belt.
