Reversible gear puller with two or three jaws and a seven-ton capacity for internal or external pulling
The Westward 1MZP3 is a reversible gear puller designed for mechanics and maintenance technicians who need to remove gears, bearings, or pulleys. It offers a 7-ton capacity and functions with either two or three jaws for internal or external pulling jobs. The drop-forged steel construction with heat treatment provides the strength required for heavy-duty automotive and industrial applications.
The tool generates pulling force through a 11/16-18 x 9 forcing screw turned by a spanner or adjustable wrench. Maximum capacity reaches 7 tons only when the operator applies sufficient torque manually. Jaw reach is fixed at 5 inches and spread at 10-1/2 inches, so components outside this range cannot be gripped. The reversible design allows switching between inside and outside configurations without extra parts.
Drop-forged steel with heat treatment resists deformation under high load, while the 6.85 kg weight gives a substantial feel during operation. The reversible jaw mechanism lets users flip the jaws for internal or external pulls, reducing the need for separate pullers. A Proposition 65 warning applies because the product contains chemicals known to California to cause cancer and reproductive harm.

Use the 2-jaw setting for tight spots where only two contact points fit; switch to 3 jaws when you need even load distribution on round or irregular parts.
It is the maximum force the forged steel frame and screw can sustain; real-world pull force depends on wrench leverage, jaw grip and the component's resistance.
The coarse 11/16-18 thread requires a spanner or adjustable wrench on the 11/16-inch hex; torque is capped by the wrench length you apply.
