Pin punch set, six pieces

This Westward 2AJA9 set contains six drive pin punches ranging from 1/8 inch to 5/16 inch tip size. Each punch measures 6 inches in overall length and features a straight blade tip made from steel. The pieces are supplied in a pouch and have a plain grip style without a handguard or tether point.

Mechanics removing pins in softer metals and wood

The assortment suits technicians who need a range of small pin diameters for alignment or extraction tasks on softer materials. It is not intended for users who require larger diameters, handguards for heavy striking, or tether-ready tools for working at height.

SAE measurement, 1/8 to 5/16 inch tip range

The set covers six SAE tip sizes from 1/8 inch through 5/16 inch, so the buyer must confirm that this exact range matches the pin dimensions in the job. If the application calls for metric sizes or diameters outside this span, a different punch assortment is required.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the punches are driving pins correctly after first use?

Check that each punch tip leaves a clean, centred impression on the pin without mushrooming or slipping off the 1/8 in, 5/32 in, 3/16 in, 7/32 in, 1/4 in and 5/16 in diameters.

Which pieces come in the pouch and what must I supply myself?

The pouch holds six straight steel pin punches measuring 6 in long in the sizes listed above; no handle or handguard is included, so you provide the striking tool.

Which tip size should I select for a 1/4 in roll pin?

Match the punch to the pin — use the 1/4 in tip from the set for a 1/4 in roll pin.
