18 in aluminium pipe wrench

The Westward 39CG47 is an 18 inch aluminium pipe wrench with a 2 1/2 inch jaw capacity. Its I-beam construction reduces weight while maintaining strength for turning pipe and fittings. The serrated jaws grip round surfaces securely. The tool is tether capable for working at height.

Non-magnetic nonsparking hand tool

This wrench suits maintenance crews in environments where ferrous tools or sparks are prohibited. It is not suited for applications requiring an insulated handle or a smaller jaw capacity for confined spaces. Buyers needing a steel wrench for maximum durability should consider other options.

Questions about this item

What pipe diameter fits the 2 1/2 in jaw capacity of this 18 in wrench?

The jaws open to 2 1/2 in, so any pipe with an outside diameter at or below that size will fit.

Will the aluminum body of this 18 in wrench damage the threads on older steel pipe?

The aluminum construction is non-magnetic and nonsparking, and it is softer than steel, reducing the risk of marring threads on older pipe.
