Cuts aluminium, brass and thin-walled copper tubing from 1/8 to 1 1/8 in with an enclosed feed wheel and grooved rollers for close-to-flare cuts
The Westward 3CYT1 midget tube cutter handles aluminium, brass and thin-walled copper from 1/8 in to 1 1/8 in. Its short 6 1/2 in length and 56 mm width let it work where full-size cutters cannot reach. Grooved rollers allow cuts close to flares without damaging the fitting. A spare cutting wheel for copper is included.
The zinc frame resists corrosion while the enclosed feed wheel keeps the cutting action smooth and protected from debris. At 183 mm tall the tool sits low in the hand, reducing knuckle clearance issues on crowded pipe runs. No reaming tool is integrated so a separate deburrer is needed for finished ends. The cutter is not tether-ready for drop-prevention systems.
Swapping a standard cutter for this model saves time when multiple cuts are needed on 1/8–1 1/8 in tubing in confined areas. The jump is worth it if you regularly cut near flares or in panels where a longer handle cannot rotate. Buyers who need larger diameter capacity or an integrated reamer should look elsewhere.
