Adjustable hand reamer covers 15/32 to 17/32 inch range in high-speed steel
The Westward 4LGR7 is an adjustable hand reamer made from high speed steel. It covers a fractional inch range from 15/32 in to 17/32 in. The tool is designed for precision hole finishing in metalworking and maintenance tasks. It is supplied new and ready for workshop use.
This reamer suits machinists and maintenance technicians who need a single tool to finish holes across the 15/32 to 17/32 inch range. It is not suited for buyers who require a fixed size reamer for higher repeatability. It is also not suited for buyers who need a larger capacity range beyond 17/32 inch.
The reamer fits into a standard hand tool kit alongside adjustable wrenches and cutting fluid for lubrication. Its adjustable blades free up space by replacing several fixed size reamers. The high speed steel construction allows use on a variety of ferrous and non ferrous materials. No powered drive is required for operation.

The adjustable hand reamer has a standard square shank turned with a tap wrench or adjustable spanner; select a wrench that grips the shank firmly without rounding the corners.
High-speed steel handles mild steel, alloy steel and cast iron; for hardened tool steel use a carbide reamer or anneal the workpiece first.
Ream a test piece, then measure the bore with a calibrated inside micrometer or bore gauge at several depths; the hole should read 17/32 in within tolerance and show no chatter marks.
