Versatile Hacksaw Kit

The Westward 4YR51 kit supplies two hand saws with blade lengths of 10 in and 12 in. Both blades are made from steel and feature 24 teeth per inch for cutting metal. A fully adjustable tension mechanism lets the user set blade tightness to suit the material and the task.

Metalworkers and General Maintenance

This set suits technicians, fabricators and DIY users who need a compact pair of saws for metal stock, pipe or conduit. The fixed 24 TPI pitch is optimised for thinner sections, so workers who regularly cut thick plate or need coarse blades for wood should look at dedicated alternatives.

Workshop Integration

The lightweight frame at 1.5 units adds minimal mass to a tool bag or service vehicle. Adjustable tension means one frame handles both supplied blades without extra hardware. Blue handles provide quick visual identification among other tools, and the steel blades are ready for immediate use on metal applications.

Questions about this item

What blade lengths does the 4YR51 kit include?

The kit supplies two blades, one 10 in and one 12 in long, both with 24 TPI for metal cutting.

Can I use the 24 TPI blades from this kit on thicker steel stock?

The 24 TPI pitch is suited to thin-wall tubing and sheet metal; thicker sections cut slower and may need a coarser blade.

How do I confirm the tension is set correctly on the adjustable frame?

Tighten the tension knob until the blade does not flex sideways under light thumb pressure and produces a clear ring when plucked.
